EnvironmentA monitoring report produced by the Hauraki Gulf Forum, a coalition of local authorities, tangata whenua groups, and government agencies with an interest in the health of the Gulf.
The report examines 'driving forces' behind changes in resource use in the Gulf. It also provides a detailed overview of changes in key environmental indicators since the previous monitoring report in 2004. Key environmental issues examined include water quality and contamination; sedimentation; marine biosecurity; protection of threatened species; fisheries sustainability; climate change; and coastal hazards. Changes in public access to the coast are also examined.
