Highlights this month for Auckland include:
• GDP growth was 3.1% for the year ended September 2022 compared to a year prior (in ‘real’ terms i.e. after adjusting for inflation)
• the unemployment rate was 3.3% in the September 2022 quarter, the second-lowest September rate in 35 years
• other measures covered: house prices and numbers sold, building consents, weekly rents, employment, retail sales, consumer spending and business and consumer confidence.
