The Serious Business of Having Fun

As a complement to Sport NZ’s annual Play Week (20-26 October 2025), Celebrating Play is Tāmaki Makaurau’s inaugural month-long programme of engaging, free or low-cost, play-themed activities for Aucklanders. Its aim? To highlight the importance of play this October, for Aucklanders of all ages. This year, the scope of the programme widens, and offers Aucklanders more range, more opportunity and more fun. It also brings us an Auckland Conversations event, The Serious Business of Having Fun, presented in partnership with Bupa.
