The Governance and Administration Committee has examined the Local Government Regulatory Systems Amendment Bill and recommends that it be passed with the amendments shown.

This is an omnibus bill that would amend seven statutes administered by the Department of Internal Affairs relating to local government matters. The bill seeks to improve the regulatory systems set out in the principal Acts. ...

Local Government Act 1974

Local Government Act 2002

Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987

Local Government (Rating) Act 2002
