This report draws on results from the 2013 Census to provide a profile of Pacific people aged 15 years and over in Auckland who stated they were either self-employed and not employing others (‘self-employed’), or were an employer of other persons in their own business (‘employers’). This analysis will help inform broader Auckland Council research on Pacific entrepreneurship which aims to provide insights into the characteristics of Pacific businesses including the issues, practices and outcomes in order to enhance the effectiveness of initiatives aimed at promoting Pacific businesses in Auckland.
