Auckland is New Zealand's dominant economic centre, leading national population and productivity growth. This research examines the main economic linkages (labour market, transport and firms linkages) within the Auckland city-system and identifies the different economic structures and roles in different parts of the city. It also examines where Auckland's key industries are located to provide a sense of the city's industrial geography.
