This report focuses on Pacific people in New Zealand and considers social indicators from five social areas: housing, incomes and poverty, crime and justice, children and youth, and social hazards. Data about Pacific people is provided in each of these areas, as well as a brief chronology of the Government's recent responses to these social issues. Innovative policy ideas and developments that could work to address some of these issues are discussed, and there are various case studies on specific social policy issues.
