Quality of lifeThis report presents the results for Auckland from the 2012 Quality of Life in New Zealand's Largest Cities survey. The Quality of Life project began in 1999, and emerged from concerns about the impacts of urbanisation on the well-being of residents in the main urban areas in New Zealand. The Quality of Life survey asks residents about their perceptions of living and working in large urban areas. Key survey question topics include health; employment; housing; work/life balance; use of public transport; sense of belonging; participation in community affairs; crime and safety; and the quality of the built environment.
