This report is an output of the Economic Value of Tourism (EVT) project, which is a three year research programme funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. The export education sector is of particular interest to the New Zealand government, and a key objective of the EVT research is to understand and document how the largest segment of the export education industry - tertiary foreign fee-paying students - adds value to the New Zealand economy.
