This report presents the results for the Auckland region from the 2008 'Quality of Life' in New Zealand's Largest Cities' survey. For more up to date results please access the summary report for the 2010 survey.The Quality of Life project was initiated in 1999, and emerged from concern about the impacts of urbanisation on the wellbeing of residents. The Quality of Life survey asks residents about their perceptions of various aspects of living and working in large urban areas. Key areas of focus within the survey include health; employment; housing; work/life balance; use of public transport; sense of belonging; participation in community affairs; crime and safety; and the quality of the built environment.
