2009This report examines the training practices of small to medium sized enterprises in four industry sectors: 1) horticulture, viticulture, and primary food production; 2) building and construction; 3) accommodation, cafes and restaurants; and 4) aged care. Key issues examined include work-based training practices; use of Industry Training Organisation services; use of apprenticeships and traineeships; owner/manager training; and enhancing employability and productivity-related skill levels amongst employees.
