An examination of the Statistics New Zealand 2008 Household Expenditure Survey results for the Auckland region. This brief report examines specific expenditure by household income and household type, and pays particular attention to the impact of spending on rent/mortages, rates, and petrol on the overall 'affordability' of life in Auckland.
