Fast Forward Autumn 2018 - The University of Auckland
The School of Architecture and Planning's twice-annual talk series, Fast Forward, aims to foster debate, discussion and development within the disciplines of architecture, urban design and urban planning. This series we focus on the question: how can we do urban space well? As Auckland's population continues to grow and the city intensifies, a key challenge will be to provide high quality urban spaces. How can our urban spaces provide the liveability that has been the catch-cry for development in recent years? How can our designers make the most of our climate, culture and topography to provide for vibrant social activity, sustainable commerce and robust built form?
From March to May, we offer a series of talks and discussions, ranging from design to politics and policy, to support both the public and the profession in ensuring Auckland's procurement of pertinent urban space.
